Only three things come to mind:
1) That you are inadvertently calling mysqli_close somewhere before a query or ping, maybe in one of your includes.
2) You are overwriting $conn somewhere else.
3) Some PHP bug in an older version of PHP perhaps. Are you guys running on CentOS / RHEL? If so I would suggest upgrading to 5.2 from the testing repos and see if that helps.

I was a Mac user for the first several years of my computing life. Then I purchased a G3 Wallstreet Powerbook. I liked it, but my wife got a Toshiba Satellite, it seemed(at the time) much faster, and was about half the price. Needless to say that I then converted to the dark side of the force...
It wasn't until I got a new job that I begin to shake off years of un-faithfulness. I had even tried to bring down an empire by convincing our CEO that we needed to switch from MYOB to QuickBooks so that he had to purchase PC's. Then I was given the gift of a G4 400 Mhz machine with OS X. I began to see the error of my ways, and within days had gone cold turkey with the PC...except my one reminder of the drunken stupor...we still have QuickBooks.
As soon as they figure out a solution for multiple users on the Mac side we will fully convert back.
That's my humble story.

Nice shot, would be nice if there were less clouds around the mountain as it covers a lot of it up and is distracting. Plus would use just a very slight increase in vibrancy just to make the colours pop a bit more. also slightly increase contrast through Levels... again only a touch. that's only from my personal point of view though. This may have been covered before but does anybody have any cleaning tips for the Macbook Air (Latest Version) i.e. The screen, the keyboard, touchpad and outer unibody casing, I'm just a little hesitant to use any old cleaning products.

It takes 578mhz to do one w/u a day. Therefore that would mean an 867mhz would do 1.5 a day (accurate, thats what my PB does) and a 266mhz would do one every 2.1 days, also accurate. Someone compare my equation to their computer. All you do is take your CPU speed and divide it by 578. It *should* give you roughly the w/u you complete in one day.

Yeah, and if it's something really big released, it will be on the mainstream news like CNN, and people at work will come over and say, "Hey, did you see the new (insert new product here) that Apple just released? What do you think?" And you get to suddenly spout expletives :D

My friend who goes to IU called me up today for information on buying a mac. I explained to him that for what he wanted to do a 12" iBook would be more than enough power. He was really sold, however, when I let me in on the deal macmall is running right now.
They have $50 off all iBook ($100 off powerbooks and powermacs)
A Free 1GB stick of ram with $39.99 install charge
A Free All-In-One Espon Printer
And a Free Carrying case and sleeve
After rebate he would only pay $990 :eek: He then got really pumped and said he is going to place his order in the next few day haha. My work here has been done... and this from the guy who has been burned many times by Apple ;)
P.S. I just had my first very negative experience with Dell but that is for another time and another thread haha.

I'm getting a PowerMac sometime soon and want to add a second hard drive pretty much straight away.
I'm looking at two on eBuyer that are priced well but just wondered if anyone had any advice.
Ones I'm looking at are:
Western Digital WD2500JD 250Gb 8mb Cache 7200rpm Serial ATA
or
Maxtor 6L250S0 Diamondmax 10 250GB 7200rpm Serial ATA150 16mb Cache
