So when everyone buys hybrids and the gas tax revenue dries up we will be forced to pay for how far we drive.The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has a suggestion for raising money to fix the nation�s highways: tax drivers based on how many miles they drive each year.
In a report written in response to a request from Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad (D-North Dakota), the CBO laments about the shortfall in the federal budget�s appropriation for highway maintenance and reckons it�s time drivers start footing the bill based on how often their foot is on the gas pedal. The driver would be charged according to the number of vehicle miles traveled (VMT) above that which he is allowed under appropriately promulgated guidelines.

still not getting nothing lol my ps3 on the other hand seems to have stepped up a gear, i was on 13 completed WU's yesterday and it's jumped to 20 today :O seems weird lol my ps3 not having any trouble getting the units lol
^^ oh no i'm using the gui version, i'm rubbish with out point and click haha
i've restarted the program now about 10 times, rebooted my computer once, and my router, but still nothing lol
*edit* finally, i turned on ' no preferences ' and it found something lol it dont look big WU, so should be rolling :D

i like this idea about the home button, but i would hate to accidentally touch it. maybe u would have to hold it down or something because that is a fatal flaw. i like the idea of it being able to illuminate for messages that would be enough for me to disregard the "fatal flaw".

START FOCUSING ON CS APPS! Damn... My mac mini g4 works faster converting my raw to jpeg files than my c2d iMac! I know you need to compete with Apple... but focus on your current products that are in need of updating to Universal code for the professionals that rely on them!

If you have been using a computer for the last 20 years, there is no question that Word currently is the way to go, it seems to be perfected.
The future for Pages is much brighter then for Word, bit of a learning curve, but looking forward to Pages 2 (and Apple getting another $79)
I have to agree with most here that Pages didn't live up to my expectations. However, I can't agree with you that Word has been perfected. Word is complete nightmare in certain situations. Its non-intuitive and not very user friendly in many cases (especially the windows version!). I do prefer it to Pages, but its by no means the best that can be done.
Keynote on the other hand is fantastic, and considerably easier to use and prettier than Powerpoint.

However, as tech gets more mature, and the R&D Cost is recouped for the new design, I think they can re-add the BL Keyboard w/o sacrificing the $999 Price-point or the 30% margins.
As you said, it wasn't just "for fun", but "for profit" and if they can maintain that profit, and return a marquee feature like the BL Keyboard, why not?

The fact that congress cannot construct a budget is simply a failure of them to perform their duties. Part of the reason is that the motivation to avoid a shutdown isn't great enough, thus I propose a two-fold solution to motivate them a little
1) Congress persons do not get paid during the shutdown. Perhaps if they were to not get paid they would be more motivated.
2) In the event of a shutdown all members of congress immediately become ineligible to run for re-election for their current position and ineligible to run in any other federal election. Since a shutdown means they've failed, they shouldn't be allowed to continue.
I would need to find a cite, but this was actually brought up and was put to vote in one of the houses. Of course it was struck down. I want to say this happened around the last time the government shut down under Clinton.

Anecdotally, it sure seems there are more Verizon models available than the ATT. Hmm. I got a VZ b/c the ATT were sold out the day after launch. I'm fine with it so far.

Why not just have high fuel taxes ala Europe?In CT we are taxed I believe 50 cents on every gallon. The problem is that as gas prices rise people buy less of it and the taxes dry up.

I like the idea you have going here. I would like the saturation more realistic, but that's just me. Different framing and cropping come to mind. Maybe play off the differences in the textures and color, putting them closer and cropping or framing in tight. I may play with this idea when I can. I have nice oranges, but I need an apple. And the nice lighting setup you have.

* Saturation. Acknowledged. to be fair to my concept tho, that was intentional. To achieve the greatest degree of obvious contrast in the photo I pushed the colors on the orange and the apple - but not overall in the photo.
* Composition (framing). This was the issue that concerned me the most. I played with different crops but elected to go with a very symmetrical and obvious crop - with the idea in mind that this best reinforced the obvious contrast elements (apples-oranges and black-white). But I never even thought of or attempted a close crop such as you used here, and now I'm gonna go play with that. I rather like it and it still seems to carry the conceptual message of contrast.
