How do we know that the extendable text box might not become an overlay of the page that wouldn't damage the design? As you tab out or deactivate the box, it shrinks back to size. I'm sure this design has been thought through more in Cupertino than most people have spent here in the past hour.

Not true.. I am the Art Director for a Art department that makes grocery store ads.
Soda is not a common loss leader since it's DSD Pepsi/Coke keep close price controls.
I usually see produce and meat used as loss leaders..

Another point... I expect that TJ MAXX just bought up a bunch of the Refurbished iPads and is taking a $50 loss on each to get people in the stores.
That's true: soda/chips not loss leaders but maintained by rack jobbers.

For feature films and television these days, Final Cut is ABSOLUTELY the industry standard. Oh and in the 8 years I've lived in Hollywood, I never met one person in the industry who uses a Windows PC (maybe a writer or two).

I was dissapointed, very dissapointed that there was no word on a new version of iWork, iLife and Leopard.
While the iPhone looks really nice, I could really care-less about one of them. The iTV...err, Apple TV doesn't catch my attention much either.
Overall 4/10 for the products released (I was expecting more), 8/10 for innovation.

I love all the 'worst carrier ever' comments. Do none of you realize VZW is already charging that much?
Of course not this is ignorant knee jerk city here. Most people don't even buy their phones like this, so this impacts a relatively small number of people. The people it probably impacts the most are those gaming the systems for the phones.
This is not some kind of change or charge that is going to impact the majority of AT&T customers in any way.
Of course some dummies will switch to Verizon and be in the exact same boat because they don't think nor do they educate themselves before they speak, write or act.
It is like cavemen, "More money charge bad... Ugga Bugga"

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Lacie's SilverKeeper (http://www.lacie.com/silverkeeper/). It works very well for backups; basically syncing your folders with the backup version (on your iPod, or your FireWire drive, or wherever). Unlike CarbonCopyCloner it removes files from the backup that are no longer on the source, and it only copies the files that have changed. Also it'll let you keep multiple copies of the backups.
Yeah...but doesn't Retrospect (http://www.dantz.com/en/products/mac_desktop/index.dtml) do the same thing but better?

I think the keynote was a bust. Waaaaaaaaayyyy to much time spent on the frickin' iPhone, and I'm the perfect demographic for it. My iPod 4Gen just died, and my Samsung Cingular cell is on the fritz, but there is no way in hell I'm paying $600 for a nano/phone combo. 8gig is not enough space, especially when you start putting any video content on there. Thanks Steve, I'll pass...:confused:

Today, I updated my iPad 2 (Verizon) to 4.3.2. Before doing so, I ran tinyumbrella to save SHSH, and while it successfully saved the blob for 4.3.1, it gave me an error for 4.3.2: you are just too late.
How is this possible? Isn't 4.3.2 the current build? I successfully upgraded to 4.3.2, which means Apple must still be signing it. I ran tinyumbrella again post-upgrade; same error.
Am I doing something wrong?

Anyone here able to get this card working with Lion? I'm running Lion DP2 (with all current updates), and I can't get it working in my 2010 Mac Pro -- nothing I plug in, is being recognized.
Interestingly though, if I go into the 'PCI' section of the system profiler, the card show up properly (even showing that the driver is installed).

They can also be flashed in a Mac, using a (Mac) PCI video card to provide video during the flash. That's what I did with my 9800XT.

Not sure about any specials. All I have read is about 500 T-shirts for those who get it.

WRONG! FCP is definitely not the industry standard. It gained a lot of traction in market share from Avid but has since regressed its gains over the last several years.I agree even though I loathe Avid and its Technical support :P
Were stuck with Avid and we do what we can without their support.
We also use FCP but presently at a lower stage in the production pipeline.
However, our RED One delivery is trickling in (worse delivery ever) and now in the process of testing a the Red Rocket in a Mac Pro loaded with FCP3.
Hope it all goes well.
