So I cant do it with a DVD at all? WTH? Seems very inconvenient to need the special USB install media.
That is the case with ALL Macs that ship with newer version of OS X, not just MBAs. The install media is included so you can use it and sometimes it's the only media you can use. Apple didn't include it so you can just throw it away.

Won't upgrade without this error in iTunes and tinyumbrella won't start in TSS server. Any ideas on how to upgrade a JB iPad? Due to servers being down?

2) No, but know, that the TM backup is not an image like CarbonCopyCloner (http://www.bombich.com) or SuperDuper (http://www.shirt-pocket.com/superduper/superduperdescription.html) are capable of doing.
But the OS version on the MBP and the backup should be at least the version the Mac mini comes with, which should be 10.6.6.
Also take a look at rsync or ChronoSync if you want to use both Macs and want to have the data in sync.

byteSizeOfElement is wrong. Your code will only work (if all other bugs are fixed) with 64 bit code, not with 32 bit code.
Care to explain why? :confused:

Man, just go buy one. The hardware was just updated and they are terrific machines. Installing Lion will take about 30 mins in typical Apple fashion. You'll love it.

By the way, I hate saying this but it's pathetic how my iPhone can run video better than my G4. :(
The iphone has h.264 decoding hardware in it so it hardly even uses the CPU to play video. That is why it plays so much better. Overall a high end G4 tower would have a lot more capability than an iphone.
Hardware can only be as good as the software it's running after all.

Hey!
Anyone planning on going to the Apple store in Reston VA this thursday? I pre-ordered my phone and plan on swinging by before work at around ~6:30.
I know some Macrumors users live in the area because when I went to go play with an iPad, I punched in www.macrumors.com and it popped up in the history lol.
Hahah that was me :-). I played on their iPad and went to this site debating if I should get one or not.
I already preordered my iPhone 4, but I curious how crazy it's gonna be there.

I have seen posts in which people ask about gaming on the mac without windows, using multiple monitors, or thinking of upgrading to a mac pro. None of these accurately describe my problem. I know that mac os x does not support crossfire.
I have a 2009 mac pro. I use os X for everything except gaming. The 5770 does what I need it to do on the mac side. Gaming under bootcamp with windows 7 is not as good as I would like. I will only be using one ACD 27" and no other monitor. I do not wish to put a 2nd PSU in the 2nd optical bay slot.
So, should I order another 5770 and use it in crossfire or sell the 5770 that I have and upgrade to the 5870. As I recall, crossfire is not a mobo thing. If this has been answered before, I apologize in advance.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I didn't mean to say that new tool will allow him to downgrade without SHSHs, I meant to say that he is stuck until the new tool is release that can Jailbreak 4.3 and he can get all his stuff back. ;)

I agree. Audion was my Mp3 player of choice in the pre-OsX days... they abandoned it though, and now it's free... I use it again now... just to pre-sort "new" MP3s so I don't mess up my iTunes library...

Running 10.7 DP2. iTunes runs fine, until I plug in my iPhone, at which point iTunes beach balls uncontrollably.

Actually it feels fine in lecture. Though I must admit I'man upper classman, so all my courses are like 30 people max, and they're all in my department at this point. As to the 2GB RAM question, well I don't know cause i've still only got 512 in this beast (soon to have another gig on order) and I know that the mac chokes a bit on not having enough memory when I've got a bunch of things open. The only reason I know it's memory bound is my old dual 867 Mac handles some things better than my powerbook does, and the only difference is my powerbook is lacking in RAM.
