I got a refund for Aperture when my nephew accidentally bought it whilst playing on my Mac. Strangely enough, I can still use the App, (even though I don't as I prefer iPhoto), I though Apple would have the power to remove stuff off your purchases list so you could no longer use it.

Depends if you have a decent phone wait youll be glad you did however if you do not have a phone get the 4 and enjoy it for at least another month:p Apple usually supports the phones for 2.5-3 years so the 4 still has plenty of life left.

Traffic increased dramatically today for unclear reasons.
One person had mentioned that the site was mentioned on TechTV last night... so perhaps it was again on TechTV today.
Regardless, I apologize for the downtime today. The server just wasn't prepared for it. As a result, we had to shut down the forums for a while, and have now limited the forums to registered users only.

The recruitment seminar is really relaxed and you will get through it as long as you be yourself, engage with the recruiters and other people there and ask plenty of questions at the end regarding the job. Don't come over too much as a hardcore Apple fanboy but talk about how much you can't put down your iPhone/iPod. During the group exercises, make sure you try and come over as a good leader but good team player at the same time - make sure that your ideas are part of the main focus but be sure to agree with ideas that you wish you though of. Otherwise, just enjoy it as it's really relaxed and you will spend most of the two and a half hours watching a presentation, videos and doing some group exercises. They get through hundreds of CV's at a time and to get the chance to be considered is a good achievement. Just out of interest, what store are you thinking of joining and what position are you after?

Maybe I'm getting old, but there doesn't seem to be any right now. :( All of the games I find interesting are being funneled/gimped to the 360, or the promising ones have been blah in general. The only game that my PC buddies got into, which I didn't for obvious reasons, was WoW, which of course is cross platform. Now that's all some of them play. :confused:
I haven't bought a PC game for a few years now. My PC Tower(s) are only on for a little bit of work these days.
What type of games do you like, I can ask my friends if they've found anything good at the moment, or if WoW is still consuming their lives? I've been gaming on PCs since the eighties and prior to this drout used ot game all of the time, mostly online and via LAN parties. And MS thinks we'll pay for services that are still free...
This is the only game (http://www.2kgames.com/bioshock/) I'm even remotely interested in playing. But I'm not hold my breath, since System Shock 2 and other games that uses a similar approach to the first one, kind of blew chuncks in comparison.

1. Go to the nearest store and buy an external hard drive that you connect to your Macintosh. Then set up Time Machine to make backups to that hard drive. (To set it up: Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Time Machine). First, this will give you a backup of everything that is on your Macintosh which will save you lots of trouble should your Macintosh ever die. And second, it lets you transfer _everything_ on your Macintosh onto your new computer.
2. When you buy the new Mac, when you start it the first time, it will ask you whether you want to transfer data from another computer. At that point, you follow the instructions on the screen and tell it that you want to transfer data from a Time Machine backup. You plug in the external drive, and some time later the new computer contains absolutely everything that was on the old computer. Including music.
3. Never, ever rely on an iPod to hold your music. The first place your music belongs is the iTunes library on your computer. The next place is the backup disk. Always assume that music on your iPod is temporary and could disappear any time.
An easier thing to do would be to use Migration Assistance as per these instructions here. (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4413) The cheapest way to do it would probably just to buy a firewire to firewire cable (cheap on Amazon) and then follow the instructions.

Sure, under the Activator settings, you can set what does what. Click on the Anywhere button, then scroll down to "Status Bar".
I have double tap status bar set to bring up the application switcher. Swipe right brings up sbsettings, swipe left brings up system settings. Swipe down brings up the home springboard.

Would/Could these chips end up in the single cpu MPs? Do they support Thunderbolt? I am struggling to find any concrete information.
They are Xeon versions of the latest Core i5 and Core i7 processors. Basically the same as those found in the new iMacs, but with ECC memory support. They won't be used in the Mac Pro - the highest end of these will almost be as powerful as the bottom end of the upcoming LGA 2011 processors.
