I looked around the site and found out that the misleading article was an op-ed and that the paper actually has someone dedicated to immigration issues. I called USCIS this afternoon and found that you can have information sent to a US consulate about your application.
When you call, select the option asks "are you calling about approved petition?", and then select the option that asks if you need to send the information about your petition to a US consulate. Since I was calling about some other app., I didn't go there. Perhaps you can give it a try.

Do you have any source on this....I also had to amend my H1B last month. Its done without any issues..
My lawyer informed this. They instructed me not to travel while extension is pending. In case you have to travel, they suggest to do the extension after return back. I don't have any source for this information.
But it makes sense isn't it. Your extension is the extension of your last I94, however if you travelled after application, your extension have different i94 number and your recent i94 has different number. Just my opinion.

I'm just curious. How will the driver read "No right turn on red"? There is no sign for that.

For "text only" cases also drivers of other languages must honor. The sign test has several "text only" questions. I think, DMVs are making effort, so that other language driver also must know all the signs and texts - at least by taking exams.

Able to read English or not should not constitute an offense. Not able to read a road sign and erring on that basis is an offense. All the regulatory and warning road signs have a symbol associated with the text (Octogon for stop 'U' for U-turn, curve ahead.....). Only the advisory signs (exit signs and street signs) have English names and no signs.

I just realized that I didn't explain what HDR is- The idea is to take a series of more or less 10 photos with different shuttle speeds and then composite them into one unique image that will capture all the light effect due of the high range of the natural light.
I know what HDR is, but your original question now doesn't seem to make any sense in light of what you just said now.
With that said, HDR works best with enough photos (no specific number necessary) to have well exposed highlights and shadows (start by underexposing your highlights and keep going up in exposure until your shadows are almost overexposed). From what I've read, the HDR plugin prefers the images to be separated by one stop, so on my camera that means three clicks over on the rear command dial if I'm set for 1/3rd stop increments. Setting your camera to 1/2 stop increments (maybe that's all the D100 can do, I can't remember) will let you get from one end of the scale to the other more quickly.

I have an Indian passport and I recently got my conditional GC (based on marriage to a USC).I am currently on a holiday in Australia .I got my single entry,3month visit visa to Australia,which was stamped across"Not valid for further travel" at the Sydney airport.
Now my concern..I need to visit India in Sep and I was wondering if I could leave for India and return to Australia without having to apply for a visit visa again,now that I have my GC.
Do I need to apply for visitor visa again to enter Australia ,eventhough I have a US GC (which enables anyone travel any country without a visa) and Indian passport.
Please help answer my question....

Very Interesting set of links. We need to respond to each of these journalists thanking for any positive coverage but also highlighting the specific issues that is causign the backlog (7% per country limit and lack of visa recapture). We need to request that attention be paid to this aspect and how removal of per-country limit is neccessary to eliminate the greencard backlogs (and that visa recapture will at least provide limited relief). Most of such articles praise high-skilled immigrants but do not get to the root of the issue and the possible solutions. We need some folks to help with this IV media outreach. When you say I can retain the priority date, how does that work? Do I have to file the PERM again? Isn't the PERM what gives us the priority date? And then will I have to file the I-140 or is it that I need to file the I-140 only?

It's a bit of a guess without seeing the images, however when the light source i.e. a lamp, or a window is in the picture area it forces the camera to average its brightness into the exposure calculation. The result = dark pictures. I remember way back when when I was just getting started I had no Idea how dark it realy was when I started shooting indoors. Uping the sensitivity As previosly described is most likely necessary. (either that or a tripod, and neck clamps for your subjects as was done in the days of tintypes.) You might also consider bouncing a flash off of a white ceiling or wall to soften the light and avoid the harsh lighting you have learned to dislike.
