I really like those apps too but they aren't free... $25 for Little Snitch and $50 for Dvd2OneX.... isn't this a "free" apps/tools thread? On Windows, i use DVDShrink which is similar to Dvd2OneX but completely freeware... anything like that for Mac? And Little snitch functionality is in many free firewall programs for windows (Zonealarm for instance)... any on Mac that are free?

Providing health services and goods has always been a for-profit enterprise. This is exactly what has lead to the amazing growth in medical technology in the past 100 years.

In the U.S. today, three giant for-profit conglomerates own close to 600 hospitals and other health care facilities. They're not hospitals anymore; they're Jiffy Lubes with bedpans. America's largest hospital chain, HCA, was founded by the family of Bill Frist, who perfectly represents the Republican attitude toward health care: it's not a right, it's a racket. The more people who get sick and need medicine, the higher their profit margins. Which is why they're always pushing the Jell-O.
If conservatives get to call universal health care "socialized medicine," I get to call private health care "soulless vampires making money off human pain." The problem with President Obama's health care plan isn't socialism, it's capitalism.

I saw a commercial for RIM's playbook the other day. It has some uniqueness to the interface. Sure all tablets are going to be similar to an extent but at least RIM tried to put a little originality into theirs unlike Samsung and their blatant copy of the ipad.

How is it a scam? For one, the title is misleading. That's the first reason why the buyer won't have to pay a dime. The other is the category that the item was listed under. It's funny, but I doubt this person will owe anybody a dime.

Are you sure? By then you will get at least 1TB hard drives for 100$ (there are already 750GB drives on the market). I still would prefer the hard drive. Faster data access and easier handling...

To me I think Discs need to me eliminated in all forms. No blue Ray no HD-DVD no dual layer anyhting.
Lets just use memory sticks and Hard drives.
Can you imagine if You Car stero no longer had CD player slots, but Say a new Credit Card size flash drive with 8 GBs... that'd be nice...
To me the whole Disc format in every way is a pain...

I'd love to see Apple displace Google Maps on their iOS devices. That would be a major blow to Google and a major win for Apple and their iAd product. The more you tie maps into adverts the more personalized those adverts become. The more successful marketing campaigns. Apple can take iAds to the next level. :cool:

i just installed win7 64 on my macbook but the boot cmap control panel didnt instal, i tried doing it manually but i keep getting an error msg saying that bootcmap x64 cannot be installed...

I just bought a new iPod Touch 4g (YEEE!!!!), and I would like to jailbreak it. It wasn't even plugged in yet. How can I restore it to 4.2 or 4.1 right off the bat? Turn off wifi and delete the other .ipsw's? Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

The 8-active FAH Cores answered my question, but maybe it will help someone to know that one client takes care of it all now. This sure is nicer than the beta!
I really hope they get the graphics working with the Macs soon. I find the output from my PS3 so soothing.
