But if we do a E-File and if we select where was your 485 filed and pending as nebraska then it generates a LIN recipient notice number which is nebraska. (even if you live in a state for Texas)
This is why it caused confusion for me. (even after reading 485 instructions)
Also i read IV forums and saw attorneys recommend filing to the 485 pending center.
So that is why i posted this question to the attorneys.

As far as I know, one is only required to file taxes on foreign accounts if they have $10000 or more in their accounts at any time during the financial year. Please correct me if I am wrong. Also, check: Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR) (http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/article/0,,id=148849,00.html)

Hi,
U can save the pdf files as u save ur word docs or floppy symbol to the left side on the top bar as u know .But cannot edit the pdf files unless and until u have pdf writer in ur system.

I guess original poster is asking about saving forms after filling it up. You can save the form but the data that you filled up will not be saved. If someone is actually able to save the form along with the data, I'll be interested too to know how.

Also if you don't check your email often, you should. Most communication is based on email and if you don't reply after some time your gone. (it's happened before!)

I used AC21 3 months ago and filled the paperwork with USCIS. No RFE yet but I would not care if I get an RFE as well...
I think it is best to notify USCIS. I hired Murthy and I don't think they are doing this just to get money. If your case gets messed u say 3-4 yeare later and you end up taking UCSIS in court then this paperwork (which USCIS will most probably do nothing with) will be very helpful.

Are we going to get temporary DLs from now on?
Can someone confirm? I know IV is following up with MI state Attorney Generals office, but from reading the ruling the validity of the license is not clear.
Here is a response to a comments by DHS..Looks like for most of us whose i94 will be expired but have filed an application like 485 whic is pending..hence the lawful end date of stay is indeterminate - the license will be 1 year only...bummer

of applicants who wish to renew their licenses but their applications

permanent document demonstrating lawful status. Another commenter
suggested that such an interim card be based on the applicant's visa

USCIS is fishing form I485 application pool, in approvable cases, 2006 cases are nearest and an easy catch.

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) recently expanded the reinstatement of premium processing for I-140 petitions. This is a subtle change, still limiting I-140 premium processing to a small group of cases for which the I-140 approval is needed in order to obtain eligibility for additional H1B time. The change was effective March 2, 2009. The expansion includes individuals who have already reached the end of their six years in H1B status, who would be eligible for additional time upon the approval of the I-140 petition. OK, Here is my situation. I came to the U.S. in August 1998 on F-1 visa stamped until Dec. 2000. I continued on my F-1 I-94 till November 2002, at which point I switched to H-1 B. I have changed three jobs prior to this one, but never have been out of status. I have all my pay stubs, income tax returns and original I-797's for the companies I worked for and am currently working. I have two Master's degrees from US university. Is it advisable to go for H-1 B visa stamping in Canada, Mexico or Mumbai, India. I have my passport valid till April 2015.

Hasn't he given many speeches like this before as well? I mean he has been giving speeches on immigration since 2004 yet nothing has happened so far. He addressed it on State of the Union speech, prime-time speech from the oval office, and countless other occasions but what has been the end result - NOTHING. I wouldn't keep my hopes very high just because Bush said so. It’s all up to the congress now.

I had applied for my I-485 in the July 2007 fiasco and i have my EAD and AP renewed every 2 /1 years. My I-140 is approved in Mar 2008.
Now i got a full time opportunity with a company and i want to know which option is best for me. I have my H1 visa valid till 2011 November and i am now in 5th year of my H1.
Shall i use H1 transfer to move to new company which offered me full time job or use EAD?
Which is safer for me? And do i need to apply AC21 or is it optional? Most of my friends are saying to not to apply for AC21.
If i use EAD and if my I-485 has any issues, what will be my status?

If the new company is willing to do H1 transfer, you can opt for this option. If not, EAD is not a bad option. People say being on H1 is better than EAD, in case 485 is denied in future.
AC21 again is subject to different opinions. I know people who got GC's doing and not doing AC21.
I would suggest you go by the new company lawyer's opinion if he/she belongs to a reputable firm.

I did it successfully in Toronto.
While entering Canada I showed them my Canadian Immigration papers and told them I will bring my stuff from US in second round. I did not tell Canadian Immigration officer that I came for US visa stamp.
However You can tell at US consulate that you landed in Canada as Canadian Immigrant and while coming back in US at the border. They won't mind.
