Second.
Although... it could have just been fans who already owned pirated copies deciding that they liked the Beatles so much that they should legally download it.
I do that sometimes if I like something a lot and regret having pirated it.
So, if you steal something from the store, and feel guilty about it later, do you sneak in and try to put it back on the shelf? Just curious.

Ok, so here is what I think is happening. The release of MBP may happen before the iPad because Apple want to have customers buy both the iPad and the MBP. On the other hand, the release of a brand new product (iPad) is critical for them and they need to pull everything into it. That's why they choose not releasing MBP untill AFTER the iPad in fear of killing the interest of it.
So my conclusion is that it's either happening this tuesday or never...
and by never I mean many weeks after the iPad launch, far out in april :(

Google for "thread 500" and click the top match--always hilarious :)
If the new nanos played games and videos (I know--really small) I'd HAVE to buy one. So I'm glad they don't :)
The case combines the best of the Mini and Nano--all good.

What's your GPU?
Apple 5770 because you can't use regular ATI 5x with DP + DP to mini-DP adapter under Osx or even ATI 5770 Eyefinity 5 (5 mini DP) or 5870 Eyefinity 6 (6 mini DP). The ports are simply not working under Osx although they are in windows.
An other solution would be to use the Atlona AT DP-400 converter and any other framebuffer / injector / Dsdt capable gpu... I went with the apple card because of the small fee gap ( 40$) and also to upgrade my old 8800GT.

I really hope HTML 5 video will be widely adopted and we will be less dependent of Flash.
And is also an open standard.

FIRST the ipad will have retina display. THEN MAYBE possibly (hopefully not) it can have 3D features.
Though I really dislike the idea, 3D is all the craze these days :/ But I wouldn't want to wear special glasses to mess with an iPad--that's not very portable.

Hi Doctor Q- The "I've got blisters on my fingers" is part of "Helter Skelter," and only heard at the end of the STEREO version, and not a separate song. Also, "The End" is over 2 minutes. The part you are referring to is probably the part at the end of the song... "and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.." However, the song has the long guitar solos before getting to that part, and the intro is part of "The End."j
You are correct about where these were on Beatles albums, but that's not what I'm talking about. I'm referring to the VH1 Storytellers album where Ringo is interviewed. His admission that his was the voice saying "I've got blisters on my fingers" is 15 seconds long but treated as a track on the album and his comment about the end of the interview (not the song named "The End") is a 4-second track. Apple charges 99 cents for each.

Except China is like a plague of locusts consuming raw materials. All of the coal, petroleum, steel, concrete, etc. they are importing is coming from somewhere else, and procuring these things has negative environmental impact for where theyre sourced.
Because before China, no other country in the world with factories EVER sourced raw materials from other countries.
If countries in Africa, the Middle East, and elsewhere weren't mining, growing, and extracting materials for factories in China, they'd be sourcing materials for factories in India, America, Europe, South Asia, Japan, Korea, or elsewhere. Unfortunately these countries tend to have weak or corrupt governments that don't care about environmental degradation or can't do anything meaningful about it.
Maybe countries with factories that source raw materials from other countries have a responsibility to help those other countries develop mechanisms to protect their environment. But I've yet to see this happen on a meaningful scale anywhere.

Photobucket, Flickr, etc. None of them accurately show the color in this photo as I see it straight off of the card. It's a lot warmer before the upload. Oh well:cool:

Even with the inaccurate transfer I really like the colors of this photo.

If it's anything like the Whitebook I bought about 2.5 yrs ago, the plastic is coming off in chunks on the palm wrest. Mine (now a hand-me-down to my partner) is on its second palm wrest, and has already shed the same pieces.
my original core duo is begging me to take it out back and put it out of its misery. So glad I bought applecare with all the replacements. Poor girl has trouble running internet video now :(

This would be nice. I'd like to be able to tell my phone to read an email or text to me when I receive one while driving. However, I get into arguments all the time with the Siri app. We weren't on speaking terms for about a month after the last fiasco, (she kept telling me she couldn't help me because she didn't know my home address even though I wasn't at home and I couldn't see how knowing that would help me find a Taco Bell), but we recently made amends and the relationship, although tenuous, is improving.

this was really nice to rant and rave about nothing. some frivilous fighting each other. some flaming. some misinformation. some information.
but mostly garbage that EVERYONE argues and over reacted about. once the fog settled, turns out to be less than a days worth of argrivation.
new rule: take all os x vulnerabilities with a grain of salt, [in some situations with a whole bag of salt]
someone call me once my macbook is ACTUALLY comprimised.

As for the voice command thing - I don't really care. It's not like it takes that long to press an icon, although it might help some in the cold wiinter when I have gloves on.
it takes many taps to dial an odd number you dont use often.
also, if this rumor is true, it would be for more than just dialing, as that is current tech.

It's the fourth most behind Mandarin, English, and Hindi.
http://www.krysstal.com/spoken.html
(just in case you were wondering)
Well there you go, was wondering about Chinese (mainly Mandarin), didn't think of Hindi. So English is only the 2nd most spoken language, huh. Add Spanish and Portuguese, and it would be 2nd! Well OK, not how it works...
So Mandarin, English, Spanish and possibly Hindi dictionaries should be hot sellers on an eBookPod then.

"However, this does not mean these other applications are dead - simply that Apple is not talking about them... yet."
So maybe this explains the low price point. $299 for Final Cut Pro X and $999 for the full suite? I hope not. All looks amazing though!
I love the new Final Cut Pro X. I don't feel I need to upgrade unless it comes in the suite. $999.00 would be a great price for the suite, considering I paid that price for FCP alone, no suite, in 2001.

I don't understand all of the negative comments but OK.....
That said, I'm not buying the statement that 3D TV is a fad. Emerging technolgy? Sure. Fad? No way. It's a natural evolution that is at or in reach of Joe Consumer. BTW, check out LG's new brand of 3D TV's. They use the same type of glasses you use in a theater setting. Also, it is important to remember that all content gives you the *option* of viewing in 3D. It's not mandatory.
As far as a 3D capable iPad; I'm all for it. It's not about reading email or browsing the web in 3D. That would be kinda stupid. It's about games and books and cool UI's.
That darn floppy drive just won't seem to die.....

In this era of WTDs (wax-tramsitted diseases), there will be no sharing of my earbuds!
Perhaps future headphones will have 3 buds: left, right and public? :p
Or (and here's a radical idea) why not put a small speaker on the player itself?
