Basically when going to neighbouring countries we give our I94 card and when entering the country(USA) they give a new I94card and stamp and put the date on it.
so is it advisable to go out of country and reenter that way i will have new I94 card with new date on it, My only concern i got my ssn does it mean i lost H4 status as H4 are never given ssn, so in this situation if i go out of country and enter again will they put me questions as i have valid visa, i never applied AP and applied EAD but never used it.

All the forwarded mails have got the same �copy-paste� response from Lost Coast GM/Sales. Here is that:

The follow up on this incident requires continuous force and Hindu community should see that such blasphemy will not repeat again. And also ensure that those beer bottles are not in market with Lord Ganesh or any other divine picture of Hindu religion. Some suggested to make this news reach Sivasena, RSS and VHP as well. And we wish our readers do that as the voice of thousands will be louder than that of one.

My H1B visa stamping application finally got approved after 2 months at the Mumbai consulate. But I travelled back on the AP a month back as my employer started getting impatient.
I have received an email from them asking to submit the passport for stamping as the administrative processing on the application is completed.
I am planning to write back to them that I no longer need a visa stamp for travel as I travelled back on the AP. Would this be a bad idea ?
Has anyone withdrawn their H1B visa stamping application before ?
Appreciate any information on this.

Usually if Primary's GC approved, RFE for dependents is minor.
When my GC is approved, my dependents get an RFE.
It is for Marriage certificate, birth certificate etc.
Lawyer want $250 for each persons to respond the rfe.
I did asked a copy from the lawyer and send the RFE reply. GC approved within 1 week.
USCIS condider each I-485 as seperate petition, not as a full family affair. My lawyer have all the details, but I think she send these documents with my package only. That is why these birth and marriage certificates are missed from my dependents file.
Lawyers make money and penalise us for their omissions also !!!!!!!!!!!!!
But they didn't admit it. But I did outsmart them with the RFE.
After one month legal aid call me for money and documents, I told them, I have GC in my hand. THANK YOU. !!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a far shot.. but if government can start distributing money.. why in the name of all that is Holy can they not do this:

How will that not help the ailing real estate market? I know this idea has been shot down gazillion times ... but we need to really stop looking through the cloudy kaliedoscope to atleast give this idea the merit it deserves.
After all these is something called as 'GC by investment'. Why not something in between?
The good part is that then anybody opposing this would then be indirectly opposing the future and much needed growth in US.

CBP at the airport mistakenly thought your wife was a permanent resident, instead of still having a pending 485. She should not this on the I-131 when applying for a new AP.
I appreciate the input above. I am getting ready to apply for her AP now held off for all these months. The change between then and now is she has gained an extension for H4 status for the next 3 years. With this change will her class of admission on AP application be H4-B or something else? If something else then will it be LPR or AP in the Class of Admission field on the form? She does not have a valid H4 visa just an extension of H4 for 3 more years based on my H1 extension and has not left the country since the last time when the CBP mistakenly assumed that she is a resident. Your help will be appreciated.

You will not get new H1. Your remaining time on H1 will be extended once you decide to do COS from H4 to H1. If you were out of country for one full year ony then you will get NEW H1 and then the new fee hike applies to you.
But if you were not out of country for one year then you will get the same H1 extended for the remainder period (6 years minus what ever you have used so far). The new fee hike applies to new H1 applications only.

We got approvals for LC and I-140 within weeks of each other.
Now, our PD became current in September 2006, he got approved a few days ago and...I found out I am stuck in the name check shit!
FYI, his name is extremely common and mine is extremely rare (in my entire life, I have never met someone with the same name!), so go figure...:confused: :confused: :confused:
This shouldn't be a problem if you are a law obeying citizen :D How do you find out the status of the FBI name clearance? You wait until PD becomes current and nothing happens then place an inquiry with BCIS?

There are two pointless threads on this site, one is titled "The yanks are coming" and another as "US political system is broken". They both contain long rants of a single user. I seriously doubt if anybody ever reads them, as is evident from the absence of any other user's reply to these threads. Why don't we just remove them, or block them from showing up on the main page. At least it will free up space for more useful threads.
Those are excellent threads buddy. If you look at the content the poster seems to spend significant time to gather the facts and the presentation is extremely detailed. Somebody mentioned the lighten up thread its also great, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. I agree that some information may not be strictly immigration related its ok. This is my personal opinion.

U should be able to collect ur passpost by going to VFS.
I have collected from vfs. in December 2006.
But remember to take the application receipt and some id.
both u and ur wife should go to collect they dont give both to one.

I am planning to book tickets for my parents travelling from India to US and returning back to India after 2 months. I have some questions:
1) Is it necessary to book tickets in India?
2) If not, Can I book tickets through orbitz or expedia in the US and send them the e-tickets?

I have booked tickets on orbitz.com for my parents and cheaptickets.com for my in-laws. Both were eTickets and there were no problems. I preferred to pay in USD over INR due to the fact that visa/ mastercard charge a 1% transaction fee for international currency and my bank would have screwed me on the exchange rate.
