I think as long as she is pending AOS status, she should be fine. But I don't think H4 will be eligible for FAFSA. But if you filed tax jointly and your income is good then she will not get FAFSA funding, HOWEVER, she will get FAFSA loan (subsidized and unsubsidized). Subsidized loan is loan you don't pay interest until you graduate.
During FAFSA application, you need to submit I-94 and it will verify your status I believe. I have seen people getting FAFSA approval for pending AOS without any problem.

I believe there are many physicians who are facing this question regarding H1b visa status. I hope this thread will help many resident physicians.
I am in final year of residency, on H1b visa (cap-exempt). I am looking for jobs and most of the H1b sponsoring employers are being subjected to cap (apparently due to stricter USCIS rules). If I fall in "under cap" category I will be able to start from Oct 1 2011. This creates problem for most resident physicians as they finish training at the end of June (as this is when their H1b expires).
So my questions is (with possible solutions that I have gathered so far, please advise me if these are true)...
Q. 1 What will I do from the end of my residency (i.e. July) till I start next job (i.e. Oct)?
OPTION 1: Request current residency program to extend your residency status by giving you full/part time Chief-resident/research fellow or similar type of status. but using this way means your training license will have to be extended as well.

1) 140 MUST be approved for your 5-26-01 application with your old company.
2) With your new company, get your LC approved under PERM
3) While applying for 140 with your new company, use your old company's 140 to port your 5-26-01 priority date.
Good Luck.
PS: Murthy version is reliable compared to Khanna, it is better to apply for porting during 140 stage rather than 485 stage.

I don't think the extension tube affects the optical quality, there is no added glass. What you see is perhaps an effect of increased magnification plus loss of light, leading to the need for a faster shutter speed. Using both a teleconverter and extension tube means more risk for camera shake and as you also get closer you may have more motion blur. What shutter speed did you get for the geese images?
The two birds I posted were photographed at a bird feeding table next to a walkway, they were not very afraid of humans. I had to sit very still close to a tree though as the distance was not more than 12-15 feet. I have tried using camoflage clothes as well as a blind but I think you still have to visit the same place for an extended period to let the birds get used to the addition of the blind or you-posing-as-a-bush in their environment.

Really, they even had some local band play along with the fireworks... and you know, what, dude, that was the very first, no kidding.., thatwas the very first music-synchronized fireworks... you know, like the 4th of July stuff, but just, more cooler and stuff, you know. I’m a legal immigrant, I140 approved and on EB3 waiting list, priority date 04/2006. I need to renew my valid SC driver's license that will expire on 08/15/2010. Went to SC DMV today and they confiscated my valid SC drivers license card, issued a sheet of paper (Letter size) with letter head "Temporary driver's license card" without photo on it. This "document" is only valid in SC. This means that I cannot travel outside SC and May take up to 60 days to re-issue my SC DL card. I'm a professional electronic engineer and my work requires to travel outside the SC state. Why do I need to be punished? Just because I am a foreigner! This is an interesting story where the SC and other states illegal Immigration Reform Act is affecting legal immigrants very badly. Is all about illegal immigrants or there is a growing xenophobia in the USA? If you are a foreigner but legally in this country you are consider guilty until proven innocent? Or all immigrants are consider illegal?

Friends,
I have Canada PR since October 2006. In October this year I will complete 3 years since landing in Canada. The rule to maintain PR is that one should live in Canada for at least 2 years in a 5 year period. Since I have not lived in Canada more that a couple of weeks since landing, will I be allowed to move to Canada after completing 3 years outside Canada or will I be sent back from the border? Has anyone moved to Canada after living outside for more than 3 years since landing? Please advise.
