I think you're choosing to miss my point.
No, I see what you're saying, I just disagree with it...
Whether Halo had only 4 people, 3 of them would be @$$hats
...and this is where you are wrong, in my opinion. But eh, whatever. You're free to whatever opinion you want, and free to play with whoever you want. I'll stick to playing with friends and good players, and having a great time while I do.

Bungie released some more details about the Matchmaking changes that are coming tomorrow. They are updating and adjusting some of the playlists and map loadouts after observing these last few weeks of play. Here is what they say is coming....
Team Slayer
SWAT is taking one in the face (being removed) and the weighting for all other gametypes will be adjusted to fall in line with voting data. Expect surprise, surprise more traditional Slayer offerings to appear.
Team SWAT
SWAT gametypes that are removed from other playlists are being incorporated into their own, unique playlist with adjustments made to modes and maps based on voting data (farewell SWAT on Hemorrhage, you sucked and everybody hated you).
Team Objective
Powerhouse will now feature several more gametypes, including 1 Flag and Stockpile. Because Powerhouse is awesome and we dont get to play it enough.
Multi Team
Rocket Race is being added. You win by staying on the Mongoose and racing to the checkpoints. (Oh, who am I kidding, youre just going to hop off and try to assassinate people, arent you?)
Big Team Battle
SWAT and Classic are being removed and the frequency of Snipers is being reduced based on you guessed it voting data.
Arena Doubles
Boardwalk and Pro options are both being removed. Default Zealot is being replaced with Arena Zealot, a map variant which features modified initial player spawns and a soft-kill zone in spaaaaaace.
Team Arena
Pro options are being removed. Arena Zealot (details above), is being added.
Score Attack
Credit earn rates for Gruntpocalypse are being reduced to fall more in line with other modes.
General Matchmaking
Alongside the major alterations listed above, a myriad of much needed fixes and tweaks to the experience will also go into effect on Tuesday, including a metric ton of small, but annoying bugs and gameplay issues that weve identified and earmarked for eradication. As these updates go live, Jeremiah will publish the full details to our Optimatch forum so you can pore over the subtle nuances of each individual change.
I'm pretty happy with the changes, more or less. I wish Team Snipers would get its own playlist, like it had in Halo 3, so it could be removed entirely from the standard Team Slayer and Big Team playlists. I'm also happy that they've said the Scorpion is being swapped for a Wraith on Hemorrhage, so that is good as well, as the Tank would more often than not, just end up ruining the game. But I'm SUPER happy that Rocket Race is coming back!! YES!!! I'm going to be playing a ton of that, just as I did with Halo 3. :D

The very world/country you live in is build on greed, theft, slavery...and here's something new for you but your probably supporting it every day. But hey whatever you do make sure not to download anything you haven't payed for
Screw it i pay a monthly bill that allows me access to the internets...so in my twisted mind i believe that since i payed for the internets, everything that is downloadable is legit :D
so, because I live in the US I can't think something is morally corrupt?
That is an interesting perspective, especially since you have no idea what my political & moral beliefs are...

Those are the 2 SATA ports on the 5000x chipset that Apple didn't use (there are 6 SATA ports.)
So what is the bus for the Superdrive? Is it the old Parallel ATA with the ribbon cable?

Remember something, Nipsy, i'm on your side here. I want Apple to do well just as much as you do. I just happen to believe that Apple needs to do it in a different way than you and I don't know why you needed to take this argument to insults, other than some need to always believe that you are right.
benixau made a rash reply, without reading my posts and believed that i hate Macs, because he was blindly supporting Apple, just as you are.
"Now, I'd love if you could quote an insult from me."
That wasn't actually directed towards you.
"I'm intelligent enough to know that Apple does not have the market cap to fully control their chip evolution, and you, it seems, are not."
There you go.
"No, but you suggested that we should rally around some cause (design chips, boycott Apple, etc.) and vocalize. "
Where did i say we should design chips or boycott Apple? Now you're just liying and it's no wonder you have come to your conclusions, considering you fabricate things like this.
"When we started this argument, I observed..."
This is exactly my point! We are suggesting virtually the same thing, except you are fabricating arguments for some reason that i can't understand, unless you simply "like the sound of your own voice" as it were.
"Without you, I'm sure they'd be gunning to slow things down. I'm sure you'll be back to tell us how this 1.8 GHz 64 bit Power4 derivative is slow compared to the 3.8 GHz PIV next year."
Yes, that's very intelligent. [/sarcasm] See i can do it too! I wasn't saying that my suggestion in any way influences Apple, and if you were so intelligent, you would have known that.
This is the exact reason i suggested that people let Apple know what they want. A company, one that wants to stay in business at least, will not completely ignore its customers and if you let them know what you want in large numbers, you may well get it.
If anyone has demonstrated lack of intelligence in this whole thread, Nipsy, it's you. You lie and misinterpret peoples posts in order to get your points across. Which, in the end, seem to be incredibly similar to the very points that you are dismissing.
I'll say it again, take your arguments elsewhere, as someone who lies, misinterprets people's posts and more importantly seems to simply want to fire up an argument that isn't there, as you do, is pointless in discussing anything with.
If you are intelligent, as you so call yourself, i fear for society.

any idea who the 3rd party vendor was? perhaps the hate mail should start flying there way!
That's the rub, isn't it. My first instinct was that they should have named the vendor by name so we know not to buy their products and all could see the smoking ruins of their company and heed the warning: write good software.
Then I realized why they didn't release the name... It's the same problem as for OS vendors-- if you release the details of the attack before it's patched then users pay the price.
That's the publicity vs security debate in a nutshell, methinks.

[QUOTE=HecubusPro]I want to watch a movie on an iPod. I have a video iPod that I use frequently and enjoy very much. I even watch movies on it. There are many, many people for varying reasons who want to and do watch movies on their iPod.
Ditto. I watch movies on my 5G when traveling, I may have to use a power adapter , but the result is not bad. Half of enjoying a movie is great sound and the Ipod gets it done. I would like a bigger screen on the next version, but I would much rather see a battery that can handle 6 hours of video without a recharge.

Full screen playback of videos now has Quicktime-style translucent controls.
You can properly tag TV shows.
But unfortunately, it looks like there's no way to edit video info for more than one file at a time. Bummer, since I have dozens of TV episodes I'd like to have tagged correctly. I guess maybe either a future update, or hopefully a Doug's script?
This is exactly what I'm trying to figure out: how to find the music videos I've downloaded. Ones that came with an album purchase (as a bonus) are in "Movies". Ones I downloaded separately are just mixed in with "Music" and not distinguished except by the little TV icon.
I'm not sure how one would quickly find their music videos except for manually looking for each one and creating their own playlist with just music videos. Is there a better way?
iTunes puts Music Videos in with music. You can change that, select your file, hit command I and select the video tab. If you want it to show up under Movies or TV, just change it in the menu that appears.

Geez, this is a MONEY LOSER if there ever was one.
I loved the beatles when I was 6.
But, these days who's going to be buying these tracks!!!
Steve must love the Beatles, because this is a gift.
And will hardly be a profitable venture.
---
Yes, the stereo effect on the early albums is hard on headphones.
The drums ONLY in the Right ear.
The Guitars ONLY in the Left...
My nieces and nephews, ages 15-20, love the Beatles, Stones, Floyd, Zeppelin, Who, etc. They listen to their own genre too, of course. Beatles music is timeless. It is rather amazing when one considers the album "Meet The Beatles" is well over 40 years old.

Wal-Mart is a massive contributor to officeholders in both major U.S. political parties, but especially those in the Republican Party -- so anyone who seriously thinks the company will be given pause by the probable illegality of its proposed actions is dreaming.

There's no doubt Apple would pull some kind of neat marketing campaign to announce this deal to the world (assuming it goes through). The people questioning the value of that don't understand how iconic The Beatles are.
Heck, even if not a single person downloads a Beatles track from the iTunes store, the fact that they're finally online, the media exposure that will produce (I've already seen several stories on it in the local news) and the fact that it could lead to things liked branded iPods make it worthwhile to promote in a marketing blitz.
I agree with those that say "Come Together" isn't the right choice. "Revolution" would have been great, but as far as I'm concerned, Nike *owns* that track after their incredible use of it in the 80s (and I'm not a Nike fan!).
I could see them being very coy and using a non-mainstream track such as "Tomorrow Never Knows" or something like that...

BS. 3G was fully matured at the time of release of the first Iphone. It had been commercially adopted for over 5 years at that point in time.
And this is one of the big reasons why I'm doubting this rumor about LTE.
The technology on the carrier end of things is still nascent, at best. I don't think Apple would invest lots of time and money to launch technology that would be barely functional upon launch.
I had always assumed that the 2012 iteration of the iPhone would be the very first to have LTE because that would give both the carriers and Apple enough time to work out the kinks.
I think it's vastly more probable that bloggers are becoming antsy about the lack of verifiable iPhone rumors compared to this time last year. Apple has probably tightened up their leaks and speculators are left on the sidelines throwing out inconsistent theories.
I'm still betting that we see a modest bump the iPhone 4's specs, the white version, and increased storage capacity and this will be the iPhone 5.

$239 for a bloated DRM infested OS is outrageous.
I've tried several Vista betas and IMHO it's a pile of crap. It's arguably the largest (unecessary) resource hog of an OS that I've ever seen.
I see more visual effects in OSX and it's 10000000x easier on a computer. For crying out loud, OSX runs on G3s. 6+ year old computers. On the other side of the coin I guarantee you that you won't see Vista running on a Pentium 3...ever.
Microsoft is dropping the ball with Vista big time. 6 skus (3 for home users, 3 for businesses), ridiculous hardware requirements, and this pricing is the icing on the cake.
I'll stick with the 1-2 combo of XP and Win2k for my Windows computing; thanks for offering though, Redmond. Try again.

That's great. Apple would become the dumbed-down childrens computer company.
In other fora, people say that is a good thing. They go on and on about their stupid neighbor who hates computers and "cannot" use a computer, but who nevertheless loves iOS.
And Apple never made much profit until iOS hit the scene.
Dunno. But if Apple went in that direction, I would be unsurprised. There are a whole lot of naive users with extra bucks to spend on simple stuff.

Well, which is it?
There aren't enough Macs and Mac users out there to count as anything, or they're all smug and worthy of a slap in the face?
People can't have it both ways.

Where is my 2 lb Apple laptop? Sony has one. Panasonic has one.
My prediction: Apple will eventually come out with a 10.6" widescreen "MacBook mini". I think it'll more like 3 lbs, not 2 lbs, though, since that Sony laptop does not have an optical drive. I hope Apple doesn't do away with the optical drive (and I don't think they will), since I think that being a portable DVD player is really a core function of laptops at this point, at least a multimedia and consumer centered laptop (which a MacBook mini would be).
I've seen the Fujitsu 10.6" LifeBook laptops with built-in optical drive and they are sweeeeeeeeeeeet!:
http://www.pcconnection.com/ProductDetail?sku=6170351&srccode=cii_5784816&cpncode=10-28291577-2
One thing about the Fujitsu computers though - they are *expensive* (about $2000). Since Apple is one of the best companies in the world at making very compact products, maybe they can release a game-changing computer in this category. I mean, what if Apple were to basically release the MacBook, just with a smaller screen - and for about the same price as the MacBook!! Apple would have a monster hit on its hands, IMHO. It would be extremely popular with a lot of customers, but especially with students that are already carrying already heavy books, etc. in their bookbags, and would love a lighter, more compact computer...
